SlyFox Productions

SlyFox Productions organizes, coordinates and produces performance events. Performance Poetics, the inaugural event, took place in June of 2002 at the Ithaca Festival in Ithaca, NY. This event featured the work of 9 women, including Yvonne Fisher, Jenny Mikulski, Jane Sprague, Amy Whitney and others. Their work represented different genres: creative non-fiction, poetry, satire, memoir, prose, and slam. Attended by over 75 people from Ithaca and Central New York, SlyFox began its cultural work of making innovative performance events available to the public, free of charge.

SlyFox works in collaboration with Palm Press to produce original, innovative works of literature and performance by artists commited to blurring the divisions between genres and challenging the idea of genre itself. SlyFox is particularly invested in supporting the work of women and writers who intentionally include, invoke or problematize the political through their work.
